We are looking for a freelance volunteer coordinator x2 days per week, starting before August 2023, for 1 year. The role will be based in Birkenhead.

Main responsibilities of the role will include:

• To put in place systems and roles within the volunteer team to encourage and engage the volunteers in a productive way for the short and long term.
• To create a volunteer charter, recruitment process and management system to work with the volunteers and ensure Big Heritage is able to support the volunteers.
• Projects and roles for key volunteers will need creating.
• The existing volunteer team will need to be engaged with and encouraged in adopting a new system.
• More volunteer opportunities will need to be identified.
• A safe environment will need to be created and managed for volunteers.
• Recruitment of new volunteers will be a crucial part of the role and this will involve engaging with community groups.
