Based in the heart of the historic village of Bromborough; an exciting drop-in heritage centre hosting regular activities for both children and adults.
Over recent years, Bromborough’s village has been hit by the opening of a nearby retail estate and supermarket, leaving many shops empty and trade drying up. Our “History Hut” project aimed to capitalise upon the heritage of the local area by running events, lectures, activities and training at an empty shop within the village. The new history centre is located in Rake Precinct and was awarded funding by Wirral Council’s Empty Shops Fund, which supported the reopening of business premises across the borough.
Our 12 month targets for public engagement were exceeded and the project has been a resounding success.
