From Big Heritage to World Heritage
We are delighted to announce that Big Heritage will be developing and delivering Cadw’s education programme at Beaumaris, Caernarfon, Conwy and Harlech castles for the next three years.
The deal will see the Big Heritage team work in partnership with Cadw to create a unique educational offering at some of the world's most important castle sites - exploring the construction of the sites, the people who lives their lives within and around them, and their wider impact on the landscape. The Castles and Town Walls of King Edward in Gwynedd is a UNESCO-designated World Heritage Site located in Gwynned. It includes the castles of Beaumaris and Harlech and the castles and town walls of Caernarfon and Conwy. UNESCO considers the sites to be the "finest examples of late 13th century and early 14th century military architecture in Europe".
