Are you passionate about heritage? Would you like the opportunity to work in an exciting heritage attraction in the centre of Liverpool? Then we may have the job for you! Big Heritage CIC are seeking to recruit a number of full and part time posts working at Western Approaches, the underground bunker where the Battle of the Atlantic was co-ordinated from during the Second World War. We are re-opening this fascinating site in late October 2017 and are seeking enthusiastic individuals to help us give visitors a warm welcome and memorable visit.
You must have excellent customer service skills, love talking with and helping the public, a passion to learn, and to share your knowledge and enthusiasm with the public.
· Working on reception greeting visitors, ticket and shop sales, handling money
· Dealing with customer queries including questions about the history of the site
· Delivering schools activities
· Leading guided visits
· Light cleaning duties
. Basic IT skills
Interviews will be held on 13th October and, if successful, you must be able to attend two training days in Liverpool on 23rd and 24th October, with a start date of Thursday 26th October. If you haven't heard from us by Friday 6th October, then unfortunately you have been unsuccessful in your application.
Posts will initially run on a three-month rolling contract and there will be opportunities for both permanent, part-time and bank 'flexible' hours contracts.
You will be required to wear a uniform of black skirt or trousers, white shirt, black tie and black shoes. Big Heritage will provide the branded ties.
