Big Heritage Success at the Educate North Conference
Big Heritage were the winners at a prestigious award for business innovation at the Educate North Awards.
The business competition is part of Educate North Conference and Awards and run in association with The Telegraph Media Group, Barclays and key sponsors including The Alliance Manchester Business School, the University of Manchester Intellectual Property and UCLan. Organisers wanted to find the best and most impressive businesses that had been founded by graduates, undergraduates, postgraduate or staff from the higher education sector across the North.
“We were really blown away by the standard of entries,” said Educate North founder Rob McLoughlin. “The six companies that were selected are some of the most innovative, creative and exciting businesses to have been born out of the university enterprise sector.”
Big Heritage founder, Dean Paton said: "Winning this is an amazing achievement for our organisation, and recognition for the highly innovative ways our team push boundaries and seek new ways to engage our audiences. It also recognises the pivotal role the University of Chester has had in our growth, from supporting me personally through an undergraduate degree, to business advice and as a place for us to find talented staff. We now employ four alumni from the university's Department of History and Archaeology, and continue to work closely with them."
